No Far Away
I was driving home one evening and all of a sudden I was hit with a realization. There is no way to get far away from God. When I was a kid, my family and I would periodically make our way to church. I can remember learning the basic Sunday school lesson on God's omnipresence... how He is everywhere at once. It reminded me of Santa Claus. Like most things I learned as a child, it became engrained in my mind as a part of life. The lesson was learned, but the significance was not attained...until now.
After realizing how amazing God's omnipresence is, a thought came to mind. When I run from God, I am actually running to Him. It's mind boggling if you sit and think about it for a minute. This is a beautiful picture of unconditional love because it shows that even in the midst of our sin, God is there, calling us close to Him. Romans 5:8 says, "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." My hope is that this song will help someone find peace in the boundless beauty of God, His unconditional love, and His amazing grace.
