Battle
Every day holds another set of choices that we have to make and decisions that we are held accountable for. We have temptations that our willpower can sometimes defeat, but at times will get the best of us. It feels like almost everything in our society is pulling us away from Christ. So many ideas and distractions are trying to break into out hearts and lead us astray. There's a battle going on inside each of us, a fight that the inner selfish part of us is trying to win. Satan is doing everything in his power to steal our attention. As humans, there are going to be times that we will stumble. All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The beauty of the cross is that we are forgiven of those sins. The world may try to battle for our hearts, but the war was already won when Jesus rose from the grave. Our hope is found solely in Him. I pray that we will set our eyes to Christ. He is the only way to overcome the trials of the world.
