I know what you’re thinking. “Chris, why would you write a song called Amen? There are thousands of songs with that same title.” But you see, on my last record I had a song called 7x70, multiplication was involved, people were confused. So this time I decided to simplify it down. Really I just wanted to write a song that would take people to church. Everyone has heard a pastor shout, “And the people said!?” And everyone hollers back, “Amen!” Of course when shouting something like that you have to have previously said something that everyone can agree upon. Since all Christians agree that at some point Jesus is going to come back and heal everything I figured that would be a good subject. And the people said? Amen.
